Ant and Dec have shared a sweet message of support for their pal Paddy McGuinness as he nears the end of his cycle from Wrexham AFC in North Wales, to Glasgow for Children In Need

Ant and Dec are rooting for their mate Paddy McGuinness as he approaches the finale of his epic Children in Need challenge. The dynamic duo took to Instagram Stories to send a heartwarming shout-out just as Paddy geared up for his final stretch of his cycle from Wrexham AFC in North Wales, to Glasgow. They captioned their post: "You're almost there @mcguinness.

Adding to the support was comedian Peter Kay, who called into BBC Radio 2 saying: "Got no where ya going, got no where ya going, cycling on the road to no where – somewhere actually. Hello Patrick me old pal, keep pedalling, keep thinking of all those children you're helping by riding that chopper, a chopper! What were you thinking? We didn't even have a chopper when we were at school.

Speaking passionately about the charity effort, Paddy shared ahead of Thursday's demanding leg: "We're just starting the day off and we're over £3 million... Wow, I keep saying this because it's the strangest thing, I'm absolutely in bits physically and emotionally but I will miss this, I will miss this positivity, this feeling of love that everyone's getting behind Children in Need.
