Richemont named the head of its watch brand Vacheron Constantin as the new chief executive officer of Cartier, the latest in a series of senior management changes.
Louis Ferla will succeed Cyrille Vigneron as the head of Cartier, the Swiss luxury conglomerate’s biggest brand, on September 1, Richemont said in a statement. Vigneron led Cartier for eight years and boosted sales by reducing model lines and focusing on the storied brand’s best-selling jewelery collections and watch designs. That strategy, which cemented Cartier’s position as the top global jewellery house and second-biggest luxury watchmaker, isn’t expected to change under the leadership of Ferla, who previously spent 11 years with Cartier beginning in 2006.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
