Itumeleng Khune's dire situation has sunk deeper after champions Mamelodi Sundowns inflicted a 4-0 drubbing over Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday. Read more ➡️

Khune last played against Sundowns in the MTN8 opener defeat in August last year following which he then only sat on the bench twice through a testing season in which he sunk into a mere squad player.

Last season was the first since making his professional debut 15 years ago that he didn’t play a single league match with his sole appearance having come in the MTN8. Though the 35-year-old has already missed 10 Soweto derbies in a row he has already long earned legendary status at the club.
