A 45-year-old Aniak woman was killed in her home by a man under court order not to be there or have any contact with her, Alaska State Troopers say.
. A wildlife trooper in the Southwest Alaska village determined her death was suspicious and secured the home while Bethel-based major crimes investigators made their way to Aniak.
John Parka, 43, was arrested on first-degree murder charges, troopers said. Parka was at White’s home consuming alcohol the night before despite a court order prohibiting him from having any contact with her or being at the home. “Based on witness interviews and evidence at the scene, investigators believe that Parka murdered White sometime during the night,” troopers said.
Parka on Wednesday remained jailed at Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center. The State Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy on White’s body.
