Andy Murray has branded Wimbledon's premotional poster 'a disaster'. The poster, which was unveiled last month, has been criticised for not featuring female tennis players more prominently.
Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova are the only two women among the front 11 on the poster, while Serena and Venus Williams are even further behind.
The poster was unveiled earlier this month by the official Wimbledon account, along with a caption that read: ‘At Wimbledon, we’ve witnessed epic rivalry after epic rivalry, lifting the sport to new heights. Here’s to the next generation of headline acts.’while Murray’s mother, Judy, said the poster is ‘appalling at every level’When asked for his verdict on the poster, Murray said: ‘It was a disaster, wasn’t it? I don’t need to elaborate any more on it, it’s pretty obvious if you see the poster.
