ANC's electoral grip on Eastern Cape shows signs of weakening
ANC ’s stronghold is showing signs of decline, with the party holding a lead of 55.3% over its closest rival.From a high of 79.27% in 2004 to a relatively lower 68.74% in 2019, the ANC has consistently outpaced its rivals. During this time, the DA saw an increase of support – from 7.34% in 2004 to 15.73% in 2019.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
The DA recently released a controversial election ad in which the national flag is consumed by flames. Many took to social media to criticise the party, with former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela expressing disappointment, saying the DA could have used other ways to send its message.
