Councillor Phendukani Mabhida died in hospitalThe African National Congress in KwaZulu-Natal is appealing for witnesses to come forward with information following the murder of ward councillor, Phendukani Mabhida .IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Samantha Meyrick, said emergency teams responded to the Sundumbili Clinic on Tuesday for reports of a victim with gunshot wounds."He was stabilised on scene before being rushed to hospital by IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support.
"We trust that police will hunt down the heartless murderers and ensure that they are arrested, convicted and given a hefty sentence that will ensure that they rot in jail," Mtolo said. Mayor of Mandeni council, Councillor Thabani Mdlalose, has extended condolences to Mabhida's family and friends. "We need prayer at this time. We are very sad about what happened, Councillor Mabhida who always prioritised the needs of his community members.
