According to reports, regional leaders from Tshwane and Gauteng will meet with national ANC leaders on Monday to talk about the metropolitan municipality's future.
The African National Congress is reportedly seeking the backing of the Freedom Front Plus to seal the City of Tshwane mayoral seat.
Brink was removed last month in a sponsored motion of no confidence by the ANC. This was supported by the Economic Freedom Fighters and ActionSA. It said that the talks between the parties are not only about Tshwane but also about government. The negotiations are said to have advanced to another level.
