President Cyril Ramaphosa cannot bank on Gauteng fully in his re-election bid for the ANC presidency after the party's provincial general council on Wednesday shied away from fully endorsing him for a second term.
There were stark divisions among delegates from Gauteng, with one section of the delegates calling for a change in leadership and another endorsing Ramaphosa for a second term.
