The ANC would likely lose control of KwaZulu-Natal to a coalition government if the country went to the polls today, according to polling by the Social Research Foundation.

The poll showed that the ANC could receive below 45% at the national ballot and 40% in KwaZulu-Natal if more than 66% of the registered voters turned up.

If 66% of the registered voters voted in KwaZulu-Natal, the ANC would get 40%, followed by the IFP at 26%, the DA at 18% and the EFF at 8%.
