The former SA ambassador to the United States was in the Langa township on Saturday as part of a door-to-door campaign for the ANC ahead of the upcoming general elections.
CAPE TOWN - Former Western Cape Premier Ebrahim Rasool says he is hopeful the African National Congress can reclaim its top position in the province.
Rasool said the polls are crucial for the survival of the ANC, adding that his aim was not to score any political position but to help revive the governing party. The former premier said the ANC deserves another chance because it has shown people that it can cleanse itself by getting rid of those accused of corruption.
