Fred VanVleet sees daylight after Raptors crash on the road
This hasn’t been the greatest of weeks for the franchise or the veteran point guard, but to think it’s the end of days or time for any kind of major shakeup simply isn’t true.on Friday that was far more one-sided than the final score would indicate.
“I think we’ve got to learn how to be a team,” VanVleet said, trying to pinpoint a reason for the road defeats. “We have to learn to play together a little bit more, be professional, be a little bit more ready to go. “Our offence is not at that level right now to be in a shootout with them,” VanVleet said after the Nets blitzed Toronto. “We fought, and there’s no quit in this team. We can build on that. We’ve got a game to shake it off and start another trend of moving upwards, but we suck right now.”
