Emrata calls the interview Taylor did with Ellen DeGeneres back in 2013 'so f*cked up.'
An old Taylor Swift interview is getting a new wave of attention, and we can thank the legacy Swifties who remember everything, the algorithm, and Emily Ratajkowski., a young Taylor Swift, whose media narrative at the time centered the boys she did or did not date, tries to refuse participation in a game Ellen Degeneres proposes. The game required the singer to watch a slideshow of herself with famous men and ring a bell at the sight of a current or former boyfriend.
But the game was an insulting end to an injuring start. The segment itself began with Ellen referencing Taylor’s previous appearance on the show with Zac Efron, who the host referred to as Taylor’s boyfriend. “We actually never dated,” Taylor says. As she tries to change the subject, Ellen pivots to the singer’s new album, once again asking which of the songs are about Zac.
