Amy confirmed earlier this year that she had stage three breast cancer
Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden will feature in the upcoming series of the hit show, BBC bosses have announced. Amy has kept her fans up to date on her health after being diagnosed with cancer.
The other stars returning are Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Lauren Oakley, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Michelle Tsiakkas, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, and Vito Coppola. "Got some blood clots but I’m feeling good other than a sore and swollen arm. Another hurdle along this journey.
And while she explained she can't compete in the group numbers, Amy said: "Every day I’m closer to dancing on that floor again." She shared: "So grateful for my @BBCStrictly family, yesterday was just what I needed ahead of today.
