Barrie Evans, who felt suicidal after losing his leg, is calling for greater support for amputees.
"I just had nothing to live for," he said.

He has type 2 diabetes and lost his leg in August after damaging his toes when he tripped over after going to a rugby match. Barrie wants to see a number of things put in place to support new amputees, including to see mental health teams getting involved with a patient before the amputation. "When you come out of the hospital there is no support anywhere. I looked, I looked for months," he said.He also wants information given to amputees about where to get support before they leave hospital.
