Navy's Blue Angels aerobatic team, F-35 jets, Air Force F-16s and exotic civilian aircraft to be displayed this weekend
Billed as America’s largest military air show, the Miramar Air Show returns to San Diego this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to the long list of aerial performances, there will be dozens of static displays of current and vintage military aircraft and equipment, including some “warbirds” from World War II.Visitors can try the “immersive experience” of a flight simulator. Tactical drones and other high-tech systems also will be presented.
Parking, admission and blanket seating are free, but upgraded seating options can be purchased starting at $9 for the grandstand up to $263 for an “elite” package. The “signature” option includes front row, shaded seats, a food buffet, complementary beer, wine and soda, private restrooms and more for $200 a person. Military discounts are available for Friday.
Military aircraft will be loud, and ear protection is recommended. The show will be held rain or shine.
