AMD and Intel are set to launch their next generation processors in the second half of 2022 and performance leaks are coming thick and fast for AMD already, this time with what appears to be an expected Ryzen 5 7600X laying waste to Intel's current high-end Core i9-12900K in a massive show of force.

Twitter user @TUM_APISAK spotted results in the UserBenchmark database of scores for the new CPU, which has six cores and 12 threads and a boost frequency of 4.95GHz. Even at this early stage, the processor stomped on the competition in the single-core score, managing to beat Intel's mighty Core i9-12900K by over 15 percent and was 30 percent faster than the Ryzen 5 5600X too.

The single core score bodes well for lightly-threaded tasks such as gaming performance, which is something Intel's 12th Gen CPUs have been particularly good at. If these results are anything to go by, AMD's Zen 4 CPUs could be very impressive indeed.
