Ambulance crews have overwhelmingly supported strike action to ensure they get the rest breaks they are entitled to. These dedicated men and women endure long shifts under demanding circumstances to save lives every day.
These workers would not walk off the job lightly. They simply want a resolution to a dispute over rest breaks that has dragged on for years. The way to solve the wider crisis in the NHS is not to simply pile more and more pressure on existing staff. There must be real and tangible reform to working practices to make the system work better.
