RYK VAN NIEKERK: The president’s fifth investment conference kicked off in Johannesburg [on Thursday], April 13, 2023. The first was held in 2018 and at that the president set a target of R1.2 trillion for South Africa. Today this target was surpassed, although the figure will be announced only sometime later.

So the talent that we have seen and continue to engage in has really allowed us to think more broadly around where and what else we could do. If you look at our development centre, combined with our continued investment in our sales, marketing, and customer support, we’ve employed over 7 000 employees directly. But our indirect impact in terms of our investment in South Africa has led to the creation of close to 5 700 jobs as well.
