Will the future of fashion be streaming?
Maybe. Several shows combining fashion, storytelling and digital commerce are launching in the coming months.
Former “Project Runway” host Heidi Klum and mentor Tim Gunn lead the cast, with Naomi Campbell, Carine Roitfeld, Joseph Altuzarra and Nicole Richie as guest judges. “People can buy it all over the world. We are going into over 200 territories,” Klum said of the difference between working with Amazon versus Bravo, which originally aired “Project Runway.” “You can design as much as you want, but it becomes real when people buy your clothes…all of a sudden it becomes real and we want it to become real for these designers and for people at home.”
“That’s what was one of the most exciting things for me,” Altuzarra said. “As a designer, I know how to sew, but I don’t sew my clothes. I have to know how to put together a tech pack.”
