A man who van-jacked an Amazon delivery driver and left him hanging from the windscreen has been jailed. Jarren Reid, of Lapworth Road, Coventry, will be thrown behind bars for 13 and a half years after admitting both theft and wounding.

When the driver, Oleg Madan, pulled up in his transit van to make a delivery, Reud leapt out of his vehicle into Madan’s and tried to speed off,But the driver clung on to the bonnet of his van in a desperate attempt to stop the van-jacking. The defendant spent years ducking from police – simply replying ‘no comment’ when quizzed by officers – before he was eventually charged.
