Amal and George Clooney are celebrating eight years of marriage today.
They made their first appearance as Mr and Mrs Clooney at the Golden Globes in January 2015, for which Amal wore a floor-sweeping black dress and white opera gloves by Dior. On the night, George gushed about his new wife as he accepted the Cecil B DeMille Award for lifetime achievement. “Amal, whatever alchemy it is that brought us together, I couldn’t be more proud to be your husband,” he said. In June 2017, the couple welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander.
They’ve attended countless movie premieres, film festivals and charity galas together, and the Clooneys were the best-dressed guests at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding in 2018.
