Almost half of voters reported in a new poll that they believed President Joe Biden broke the law in some way regarding his son Hunter Biden.
The recent Yahoo News-YouGov survey showed that 48% of its 1,636 respondents thought the president did something"illegal regarding Hunter Biden." When accounting for political party, 54% of independents said Joe Biden"definitely" or"probably" broke the law, while 85% of Republicans said the same.Hunter Biden fared even worse, as 67% reported he likely did something illegal.
Another 46% said the House earned their approval by launching an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden, while 32% disapproved, and 22% weren't sure. Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy announced an inquiry against Joe Biden last week before calling a vote, similar to how then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi did in 2019 when impeaching then-President Donald Trump.
The poll also found that 39% of its respondents suspected that Joe Biden had committed some sort of"serious crime" sometime in his life. Similarly, 47% reported that they believed Joe Biden and his family were corrupt. On the other hand, 51% reported Trump and his family were also corrupt.
The poll's data were collected Sept. 14-18, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.7 percentage points.
