'I ran out my fiancée's and into the back garden of the flats to make sure the people were okay'

No-one has yet been held accountable for an explosion which destroyed multiple flats, saw homes evacuated and left a man needing to be pulled from the wreckage.

He said: "I ran out my fiancée's and into the back garden of the flats to make sure the people were okay. I then ran around to the front and into the house and found a man downstairs and he has a cut and blood on his head. He said: "I was sat on the balcony when it happened, it threw me off my chair and I ran in grabbed Sophie, grabbed the baby and ran out. I can't explain what the feeling was. I was just sat there having a ciggy - it just went bang. The baby was in the living room, he was asleep - he woke up screaming." Like others, he was forced to find alternative accommodation as a result.
