Earl is moving east but another non-tropical low-pressure system is on its way.Post-tropical storm Earl is finally departing after unleashing over 200 mm of rain on parts of Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula and bringing strong winds to Newfoundland and the eastern Maritimes.On the storm’s heels is a low-pressure system advancing from Quebec into southern Labrador, and its occluded front will cross the Maritimes Wednesday and Newfoundland Thursday.
Rain will develop over Labrador throughout Wednesday, with scattered showers in southwest Newfoundland Wednesday night, reaching the east Thursday. Scattered showers will continue over Newfoundland into the weekend, while circulation around the low coming in off the Gulf means further showers are likely late Thursday and Friday for Prince Edward Island and eastern Nova Scotia with drier conditions elsewhere.
