The RCMP say the driver of a pickup truck involved in an alleged hit-and-run with four victims near Mission, B.C., during a march for those who endured abuse at residential schools has “come forward” to police.

“The 77-year-old driver is not in custody,” Mounties said in a statement Monday. “Mission RCMP has seized his truck for examination.” RCMP have said the driver was trying to “get around” the group when he hit the four people, two of whom sustained minor injuries.Troy Ingraldi was helping direct traffic at the march, organized by Crazy Indians Brotherhood, when he said he was struck by the truck.on the weekend. “He said he’d run down everyone and I told him there were children on the shoulder.”
