Meteghan RCMP say they arrived to find a heavily damaged car and noted signs of impairment by alcohol from the driver
Police say an alleged drunk driver ploughed into a school bus in southwestern Nova Scotia on Monday afternoon, badly damaging his car but causing no injuries.
The bus was stopped on Highway 1 near Grosses Coques, N.S., and children were disembarking when it was rear-ended by a small car.Meteghan RCMP say they arrived to find a heavily damaged car and “noted signs of impairment by alcohol” from the driver.The man, from Grosses Coques, is scheduled to attend Digby provincial court on June 10.
“No one was hurt as a result of the collision. The driver of the car was held in custody until he was sober and was then released,” police said in a release.
