A woman who was arrested in Kosmos after allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs will appear in court in the coming days.
A girl was killed and her mother and a baby were critically injured when an allegedly drunk female driver hit them at high speed on the side of the road near the Caribbean Beach Estate in Hartbeespoort on Christmas Day.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh, the driver was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and culpable homicide.

Five Arrested in Connection with Kidnapping and Murder at Hartbeespoort DamPolice in South Africa have apprehended five suspects, aged 19 to 40, for the kidnapping and murder of 26-year-old Lesego Klaas Makaku. Makaku was allegedly accused of stealing a cellphone at a tavern in Sangiro informal settlement on New Year's Eve.
