On Tuesday afternoon, residents of Morokweng, a village outside Vryburg, allegedly set alight a house with the three men inside.This incident has prompted North West police to be on high alert. Police spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone said residents went to a rented house in the Ga-Mokgopha section, where the three men, who were from Carletonville in Gauteng, had lived."The house was allegedly pelted with stones, and in the process of escaping the attack, the victims allegedly stabbed and injured some of the attackers.He said the men were taken back to the house, which was then set alight while they were inside.
"Members of the community are urged to remain calm and to work with the police through the Community Police Forum to ensure that those who are behind these appalling acts are brought to book," said Mokgwabone."What happened in Morokweng is inhumane, totally unacceptable and must be condemned," Kwena said.No human being should be subjected by another to any kind of brutal attack, irrespective of the nature of the accusation.
