Five members of an alleged construction mafia gang were abducted and tortured before being killed after they attempted to muscle in on a lucrative construction project in Tshwane . The men, who are alleged to be members of the infamous Boko Haram gang operating in Mamelodi , were 'ambushed' when they rocked up at the Bronkhorstspruit site last Monday to disrupt work taking place on the R568.
" "These guys were not there for a long time, maybe they were there for about five minutes before they were taken. They did not even have time to make their demands. They were then taken somewhere and brutally tortured for about 11 hours." According to the source, the men were electrocuted, had their fingernails pulled out, and suffered broken bones as they were apparently tortured to reveal the identity of the official who tipped them off.
