Globally, there are over 1.7 million confirmed cases of coronavirus, identified as COVID-19. In the United States, that number has risen to over 520,000 in over a month.

Pearl Jam postponed their four-month North American tour. “Again, here in Seattle what we are witnessing we would not wish for anyone,” the group wrote in a statement. “What we do wish for the rest of the country is that they can avoid the harsh negative effects of this and retain their sense of community and take care of one another.”Due to Live Nation canceling international and domestic tours, it’s the end of the road for the “End of the Road World Tour.

On March 16, Black Widow, which was originally slated for a May 1 release, was postponed by Disney along with The Personal History of David Copperfield and The Woman in the Window . Disney previously pushed Mulan , Antlers , and The New Mutants on March 12.As of March 17, all AMC theaters and Regal cinemas are closed, with AMC looking to reopen in six to 12 weeks. As of March 14, the Metrograph, Nitehawk Cinemas, and BAM Rose Cinemas are all closed until further notice.

On March 12, the Atlantic Coast, Pac-12, Big Ten, Big 12, and Southeastern Conferences announced the cancellation of the remainder of their 2020 Men’s Basketball Tournaments. Meanwhile, Duke University and Kansas State University have suspended all athletics.The Arnold Schwarzenegger–named sports competition will continue as planned on March 5, only without an audience. Spectators won’t be able to watch the preliminary events, but for the finals? They’ll be back.
