All Glasgow schools and nurseries will shut on three strike days later this month.has announced that due to industrial action by school staff over pay, the establishments will be closed on September 26, 27, 28., has written to parents and carers today to inform them.
"It is therefore not possible to secure a safe environment and provide lunches for our young people or maintain continuity of learning. "We will continue to work on alternative arrangements right up to the date of the strikes but at this, it is very likely we will be unable to make provision for schools and nurseries, therefore they will be closed to pupils. If there is any change based on individual risk assessments and suitable catering arrangements being available, I will contact individual schools.
