It’s one of the first things we tell you at CBS21 News during a tornado warning: get somewhere safe!CBS21 News' Maxine Rose spoke with two police officers who were doing just that the day the tornado tore through the neighborhood.
He had been working for another local agency as a patrolman and, like many others, had been called in to help Campbelltown just hours after the tornado swept the neighborhood. “I had been out just prior to getting into the basement and I had seen a bizarre green color in the sky and figured we just didn’t want to waste any time getting to shelter," said Chief William Reigle with the South Londonderry Township Police Department.
