One of the major talking points during the Rugby World Cup final was the decision to red card All Blacks captain Sam Cane, although this was made via the bunker review system rather than the on-field officials.Upon review, it appears that the All Blacks have flagged other concerns in an official complaint sent to World Rugby.
Ultimately, though, Cane appeared before an independent Disciplinary Committee on Monday 6 November, and has been suspended for three matches When applying World Rugby’s Head Contact Process there was no mitigation available to bring the degree of danger below the red card threshold.
