Ali Stroker has made history, becoming the first person in a wheelchair to ever win a Tony Award, according to the Independent, dedicating her win to children with disabilities who have wanted to see themselves represented in theater.
Stroker, 31, won the award for best featured actress in a musical on Sunday for her role as Ado Annie in the revival ofShe is paralyzed from the chest down due to a car crash when she was two years old, according to the Independent.
