The former Rangers striker is yet to find a club after exiting Ibrox in the summer.
Alfredo Morelos has been linked with a shock move to the Serie A with top-flight club Cagliari Calcio, according to reports.
Morelos' time at Rangers ended with queries about his fitness and attitude, and that appears to have continued into the summer with no clubs picking up his signature yet. The 24-year-old has made just two substitute appearances this season, coming on in the 89th minute against Servette at Ibrox and playing 33 minutes in the 2-1 Viaplay Cup win against Morton.
A club statement read: “Everyone at Rangers wishes Ianis well for his loan spell which provides him with a fantastic opportunity for regular football having spent almost a year out through injury.”
