EFF founding member and former North West provincial convener Alfred Motsi has left the party to join the rising uMkhonto weSizwe party, citing the party’s poor provincial leadership as a factor in his departure. In the past few months, the party lost its high-profile members, including former national chairperson Dali Mpofu, former deputy president Floyd Shivambu and Mzwanele Manyi.
“When Julius and Floyd were suspended, we approached them to be our leaders, and that was how we ended up with the EFF,” Motsi said. The recent resignations of high-profile figures within the party highlight how poorly managing a political party can lead to its fallout. , it is tempting to blame the MK party for the loss of the EFF’s members. However, this is not the main reason why the EFF is drastically losing its members one by one.
This decision resulted in the removal of approximately 10% of its public office-bearers . The two women, aged 53 and 59, face charges of fraud amounting to R1.9 million, police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie said.
