JOHANNESBURG - Alexandra residents have arrived outside the City of Johannesburg Regional Offices in Sandton to deliver their memorandum of demands.They claim Joburg Mayor Herman Mashaba has failed to respond to their grievances.ANC ward councillor Tefo Raphadu says the community of Alex feels neglected by the government.

"The community has made it loud and clear that they want either Mashaba or the speaker to come and address them. We don't want a deputy regional director because she has failed us." "This is the second march we have lead to the regional offices and she has not responded to some of the issues and we feel neglected as the community of Alex", said Raphadu.

Residents say they are tired of lawlessness, poor service delivery and the increasing number of informal structures in the area.
