Murdaugh, who was convicted more than a month ago of fatally shooting his wife and one of his sons in a gruesome double-murder, was indicted on multiple new charges tied to alleged tax income evasion Thursday,Daniel William McKnight The charges were expected to be announced this week by South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson’s office, the outlet reported.of tax evasion in December.
Overall, the 54-year-old disbarred attorney is facing several dozen charges tied to alleged financial crimes across 19 indictments.Murdaugh is expected to be jailed for the rest of his life.He’s serving a life sentence for the murder of wife Maggie, 52, and son Paul, 22, when he shot and killed both on June 7, 2021 to allegedly help distract from his financial crimes, prosecutors have said.
