There are currently 20 states of local emergency and four band council resolutions, said Colin Blair of the Alberta Emergency Management Agency during the daily afternoon update.

On Monday, Alberta Health Services said that approximately 300 people were evacuated from care centres across the province. Hospitals and acute care facilities in Drayton Valley and Fox Creek remain closed as evacuation orders are still in place. Patients scheduled for cancer assessment or treatment in an evacuated area should call the Cancer Centre Transition Team at 1-888-432-8865.As of Thursday night, there were mandatory evacuation orders in place for nine communities across Alberta.
