The Chatty Man comedian has been appointed to replace the Little Britain star after rumours started circulating that Walliams would be stepping down from the judging panel.

In November, it was reported that Walliams future on the show was 'up in the air' before he was caught in a public scandal.
His comments were picked up by a microphone used to record chats between him and fellow judges at the London Palladium in January 2020. Following on from the scandal, it has been reported that fellow comedian Alan will be taking Walliams' place. A source close to the ITV show said of Alan: "Alan is hilarious but also kind. He tells a mean joke but he is also soft in the middle. The bosses are already excited about how wonderful he will be with the contestants.
