After leaving Sundowns in 2020, Pitso Mosimane went to win two Caf Champions League titles with Al Ahly back to back.
Former Al Ahly midfielder Walid Salah Eldin believesAfter eight successful years with Mamelodi Sundowns, Mosimane left the Tshwane giants to join Al Ahly in 2020. During his time with the Egyptian giants, ‘Jingles’ won five major titles. He left for Saudi Arabia in 2022 and Marcel Koller took over the reigns. The German coach has won two CAF Champions League trophies so far and three Egyptian Super Cups.
Since leaving Al Ahly in 2022, Pitso Mosimane has coached in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The 59-year-old was recently in the books of Abha but failed to help the club survive relegation in the Saudi Pro League.Mosimane has helped Sundowns and Al Ahly to three Champions League triumphs in the past eight years. Amakhosi are hoping Jingles can finally end their nine-year trophyless seasons if he gets the job.
