Admission is free for the festival, which will feature 165 decorated trees, 80 wreaths and holiday gifts available for purchase. All items on display are donated by local corporations, groups and individuals and will be available for sale to benefit the hospital. Gift items such as holiday decorations, gifts and small toys can be purchased and taken home the same day.
“For 43 years, the Holiday Tree Festival has been a holiday tradition for families in Akron and the surrounding communities, bringing joy and excitement to the start of the holiday season,” festival chairperson Mary Leuca said in a news release.The festival was founded in 1982 as a way for families to celebrate the holiday season while raising funds. Since its inception, the festival has raised more than $7.
