Taxi boss Mfundo Gcaba deposited R800 000 into a bank account of one of the men charged with the murder of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes.On Wednesday, the State argued against the bail application of the five men. Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi , Lindani Zenzele Ndimande , Siyanda Eddie Myeza , Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande

Senior State advocate advocate Elvis Gcweka told the court that Gwabeni made a call to Sydney Mfundo Gcaba and the R803 455 was deposited into is account.“Shorty after this call, an amount of R803 455 is transferred to the bank account of the applicant. The bank statement attached in his affidavit does not show the period of these transactions,” Gcweka told the court.According to Gwabeni’s sworn affidavit, the R803 000 was from a reputable business for consultation services.
