Police are laying stunt and impaired driving charges against an Ajax man after clocking him going more than double the speed limit in Oshawa.
Officers were patrolling the area of Simcoe Street and Northern Dancer Drive around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday when they clocked a driver going 105 km/h in a 40 km/h zone. They say the suspect drove head on with the police cruiser, then fled when officers tried to stop the car.Officers say during a breath test, he blew nearly three times over the legal limit. One sample registered at 230 mg and the other was 220 mg in 100 ml of blood.
