Ahsoka reveals a Rebels hero's purpose.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Ahsoka episode 7 shared a number of small details that could’ve been easily missed, and that includes informing audiences of what one Star Wars Rebels hero is up to. The reunion between Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger on Peridea in Ahsoka episode 6 brought to core members of the Ghost crew back together, though the others remain in the know Star Wars galaxy.
Almost all of the members of the Ghost crew have appeared in live-action, the only notable exception being Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus, who sacrificed himself to save his family in Rebels season 4. Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and Chopper have come to live-action prominence in Ahsoka, but Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios cameoed in The Mandalorian season 3 alongside Paul Sun-Hyung Lee’s Captain Carson Teva first.
Ahsoka Episode 7 Reveals Zeb’s Role in the New Republic It was revealed by Sabine Wren that Zeb is currently training New Republic recruits. Zeb has a long history as a warrior, having served as captain of the Lasat Honor Guard before his people were massacred by the Empire. For years, he thought he was one of the last of his kind before learning that other Lasat had settled on the planet Lira San, in the Unknown Regions and outside the reach of the Empire.
Despite rarely being seen as a leader while aboard the Ghost, Zeb possessed a lot of wisdom to share with his found family and learned again to trust himself. This makes his new role as a recruit trainer all the better, honoring where he’s come from but also allowing him to leave his mark on something new. While the New Republic will eventually fall in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it shouldn’t take away from the good work Zeb is doing during New Republic Era of Star Wars.
