Ahsoka season 1 smashed a previous Star Wars lightsaber record, but one upcoming Disney+ show will completely blow it out of the water.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Ahsoka season 1 introduced audiences to a new galaxy and brought back fan-favorite characters, but it also set a lightsaber record for Star Wars television shows. Between present-day combat and flashback sequences in the World Between Worlds, lightsabers of all kind were a prominent aspect of the samurai-inspired series.

Ahsoka introduced a new kind of lightsaber blade in Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati’s orange lightsabers and also expanded on what happened to weapons like Ezra Bridger’s, which he had left behind in the Star Wars Rebels series finale. Ahsoka also showcased Ahsoka Tano’s twin white blades in live-action once again, something that was only briefly seen in her appearance in The Mandalorian season 2.

Ahsoka Featured More Lightsaber Types Than Any Other Live-Action Star Wars TV Show Ahsoka featured 13 different lightsaber blades, six of which were wielded by Ahsoka Tano herself. With that staggering amount, Ahsoka now has the most lightsabers in a live-action Star Wars television by a wide margin. With shows like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett largely trying to stay away from the mysticism of the Jedi and Force wielding, there have been very few lightsabers seen.

Not only did Ahsoka provide audiences with fantastic lightsaber duels, but it also showcased how to train with the weapon and the importance of continuing to practice, which was shown by Anakin Skywalker’s holorecording in Ahsoka episode 7. Different ways of wielding lightsabers were also showcased. Sabine Wren’s progress with using her lightsaber and not being so reliant on her blasters demonstrated her growth as a Jedi, though she did resort to Mandalorian techniques.
