Manqoba Mngqithi's representative, Mike Makaab has provided the latest developments on the contract negotiations taking place between the decorated coach and Mamelodi Sundowns. Read more ▶️
Mngqithi is reportedly attacking interest from several Premier Soccer League clubs as his contract with newly-crowned DStv Premiership champions Sundowns is set to expire at the end of this current season.
According to high-profile agent Mike Makaab, who represents Mngqithi, Sundowns have until the end of May to make a decision. "The truth is that Manqoba is completely committed to Sundowns. He’s a true professional, he’s working as hard as he has in the past. He is supporting the coach one hundred percent," Makaab told"Manqoba and I speak on a regular basis, Mamelodi Sundowns have the option to renew his contract, but that option is only renewable in Ma, so by the end of May they have got to make a decision.
"They won the PSL [DStv Premiership], we spoke about that, we said that we thought 60 points would be enough to win the Premiership. They are in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League and they are well on their way to the Nedbank Cup."
