Saudia Arabia is set to use Kenya as a strategic entry point into Africa.
Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman who met President William Ruto on Tuesday said Kenya is a cornerstone of stability and growth on the continent.
Speaking during a meeting with President William Ruto on Tuesday, the Crown Prince noted that Saudi Arabia is committed to increasing its investments in Kenya, with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector. President Ruto acknowledged the progress made in economic growth, regional cooperation, and democratization across Africa. However, he expressed concern about ongoing challenges such as insecurity, violence, and terrorism, calling for international cooperation to address these issues.
In a separate meeting, President Ruto discussed strategies for enhancing farming in Kenya with PepsiCo's CEO for Africa, Middle East, and South Asia, Eugene Willemsen, with a focus on irrigation-fed agriculture and economic opportunities for the country's youth.
