Nigeria's university lecturers have suspended a prolonged strike demanding better funding for universities, more facilities and improved pay system among other issues. The conditions for the suspension are not immediately clear.

Reverend Daniel Tokens Wejuli's comments came as Uganda grapples with an Ebola outbreak which has so far claimed 19 lives, including one in the capital, Kampala.
